Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle
Hurray for more physics randomness =)
Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is a law in quantum mechanics that states (by precise inequalities), that certain pairs of physical proteries, such as position and momentum, cannot be simultaneously known to arbitrarily high precision. In layman's terms, the more you know about something's momentum, the less you know about its position, and vice-versa.
Now we know what to do when you're looking for something =)
Yes, we have to KNOW LESS ABOUT ITS MOMETUM if we want to find stuff =)
Hmm!

Hero of the Week 1
Hurray!
Our first hero of the week is Bloodseeker =)
Bloodseeker is a pretty cool hero, with a good attack animation, high base damage, high armour and great dps hero in general. Lets look at what cool gimmicks he can do:
1. Solo lanes
A melee solo? Seriously?
Well not too unheard of, we do have Beastmaster, Broodmother and Stone Giant solos pretty often, but Bloodseeker in a solo lane is pretty insane. With no one to compete with for last hits and denies, with only a Poor Man's Shield and Quelling Blade he can rack up creepstats like crazy. He has high armour, so naturally resistant to pokes, and coupled with Poor Man's Shield's damage block (20 from heroes, yay), pokes aren't going to hurt you much. Further, Blood Bath + high base damage + Quelling Blade + good attack animaion = free health everywhere o.O
So all you need is a few salves to get back to good shape when your health is red ^^
2. Lvl 1 NC
WTF?! Bloodseeker Lvl 1 NC?
Why not =/ Almost every hero can do this, even off 5v5 starting gold -.-
The point with Bloodseeker is that with chokepoint jungling and Blood Bath, you get back health pretty fast and is not worse than Nai'x's Feast skill =) NCing is a great way to farm, but come on, on a hero that can solo, why NC? Still a cool gimmick.
3. Dagon
Zaaaaaaaap!
This is pretty cool, but not done as much. Dagon = extra damage. How this would help is a) get some kills you might not reach due to disablers coming your way b) zap people into the red or yellow zone, where you get ur speed bonus from Strygwyr's Thirst, after which you can chase them down (Rupture unavailable). Further, you can instantly kill a ranged creep with any dagon level, and kill a melee creep with dagon 3 ++ (depends on time), so can be used to heal up on health. Pretty neat.
4. Force Staff
Vrooooooom!
Rupture = deals damage if they move. Force Staff = make them move. Easy right?
In addition, you can use this to chase, force over a disabler to help, and whatnot. Very useful item in general.
5. Hand of Midas
Click... Click... Ka-ching!
Hand of Midas is a farming item. Its great on a hero for farming ^^ What makes it better (other than bonus exp, extra gold, 30% attack speed) is that you get health of creeps u kill (hurray). So this is essentially a long cd Mekasm that works only on yourself but costs really little mana and heals for alot (if you use on a high level NC such as Furbolgs) Also usable in the lane, when you're duking it out with some enemy hero, and you suddenly transmute a creep for extra HP =) Not only does this speed up your farming towards some high level items (provided you get midas early enough, which if I remeber correctly, 14 minutes).
6. Ethereal Blade
Whoooosh!
Ehter Blast + Rupture + Dagon + Force Staff = lol
Magic DPS Bloodseeker, anyone? =P
In conclusion, Bloodseeker is a very fun hero to play, with so many gimmicky options available. Further, whats more is his powerful laning ability with that animation, damage and Blood Bath. Against a weak opponent in the lane, he's bound to farm up to high level items quickly.
My favourite build for Bloodseeker is centered around the Blood Bath ability.
How Blood Bath works is it gives you health back for every unit you kill, regardless of how you did it (radiance immolation aura, hand of midas transmute, dagon zap, ether blast, shiva's blast, other whatnot). So this is what I do:
1. Get a solo lane =) Mid or Adv land are both fine.
2. Start with quelling blade and stout shield, buy poor man's shield either with crow or from side shop
3. Start farming like a boss. Kill people whenever you have mana.
4. Treads by 8 minutes. (probably way earlier if you are lucky)
5. Midas by 14, if you can. Often I will skip this and go straight to Maelstrom, my core item.
I skip Midas both when I'm too far behind and when I'm doing too well, since when I'm doing very well I want to get Maelstrom quickly, a better farming item and allows more DPS in ganks and whatnot.
6. Mjollnir
7. Radiance
8. Heart of Terrasque <-- record time for the above is 30 minutes
How this Bloodseeker would work is: Extreme physical tankiness. You have so much health and so much armour, that most physical attackers wont hurt you too much. Sadly you dont do all that much back to them (your DPS isn't exactly too high, but not shabby either :P)
However, you do have Radiance immolation aura, Mjollnir's Chain Lightning orb, Mjollnir's Static Charge buff (well not really a buff, but we'll count it in -.-), and this helps by allowing you to kill creeps as you attack enemy heroes, healing yourself up without the need of lifesteal. Nice.
9. (everything here is extra) The Butterfly
10. Monkey King Bar
11. Buriza do-Kyanon
12. Manta Style (not so great now that you no longer get Blood Bath hp off illusion kills =/)
13. Battle Fury
14. Assault Cuirass
Proceed to solo teams o.O
I've tried this build on Bloodseeker, it works very nicely =)
Hope anyone else using this build would do as well ^^

Bridge Online!
This weekend wasn't too bad, rather relaxed with Benjamin calling me to play bridge quite abit =) which is fun.
Today we ended up +11.2IMPs (hurray).
Benjamin declared alot of No Trump contracts between us (because he keeps getting to open 1NT) then somehow not make a making contract because he would cash stoppers >.< So thats like -7 IMPs everytime we played NT. ......
Then I told him to stop doing that, and so we were making 3NT contracts again. Yay.
Hurray for randomness. We were chatting on MSN (trying very hard to not cheat) while playing on BridgeBase, then there was 1 deal where i got C:Qx D:AJ10xx H:K10x S: A10x, then Benjamin opened 1NT. Then I raised to 3NT. On MSN:
Chen, the Holy Knight
hope u got club stopper :/

Finally Something Interesting Happened!
Hurray! Something interesting has happened! <-- ... lol
Anyway, my mother and I got invited to my neighbour's wedding dinner, so thats something new for a change :P
Anyway, I shall take up some of my worthless blog space to wish them happiness and happiness (幸福与快乐) in the future!
It was pretty cool, got to eat nice food, watch them happily get married and bla bla bla. I also shook hands with my neighbour for no particular reason whatsoever.
Lots of random stuff occured though. I am Chinese and I speak Chinese with my mother, so conversations shall be in Chinese.
PSP。 (yes my mother has a PSP lolol)
我:给我PSP干吗?
妈:可以听音乐,玩游戏也行。
我:哦,那就不用了。音乐我有 (all my anime/game music muahahaha),同时坚决反对在公共场所玩游戏。

...... (proceeds to play Only My Railgun outside the ballroom that's hosting the wedding dinner)
妈:好了,回去吧。你弹的什么啊,怎么断断续续的。
我:这个钢琴踏板不太好。(No I did not say it was Beethoven. Nor did I say it was Mozart :P)
......
(I took out my MP3 player)
我:嗯。有问题吗?
妈:我跟你换吧。你来听我的音乐,我来听你的。
我:哦。十有八九你听不懂我的音乐。
妈:你的音乐这么难听吗?
我:挺好听的。只不过估计你听不懂。
(40 seconds later <-- Level5 Judgelight prelude)
妈:哦就是你日本卡通片的音乐啊。
......
妈:我的音乐怎么样,比你那乱七八糟的好听多了吧。
我:哦。我没听你的音乐。(was listening to Immediate Music soundtracks, which I put into her PSP by her request lolol)
妈:。。。。。。以后得多听一些Classical的,不要老听那动画片的音乐。都17岁了还听那种音乐呢。
......

Opening Calls in Bridge
Hello =)
I have some random deals here where you can choose which opening to call (looks very random).
Have fun :P
1. Suppose you are North, with South dealer and E-W vulnerable. South and West passes, and you pick up: C:2 D:2 H:KQ9765432 S:32
This looks suspiciously like a Benjamin hand, except in Hearts instead of Clubs (lol). Do you open at all? If you do, what do you call?
2. Suppose you are South, the dealer and N-S vulnerable. You pick up: C:2 D:AKQJ H:AKQJ S:AKQJ. Clearly you must open on this one (else the deal will pass out and you epic fail, losing at least 20 IMPs >.<), so what do you call?
Fan Yi is not online these few days <-- =( so my calculator shall stone because I'm lacking data (that I asked Fan Yi to collect) Anyway, I shall ask Kai Cong, Fangxu and Benjamin to go play bridge online >.<
Random bridge puzzle:
What is the maximum number of calls (including pass) during bidding?
Answer: very large (try to work it out yourself =)
nightz~

Posts (or lack thereof)
After a rather boring weekend (few exciting DotA games worth mentioning; Fan Yi's not around so no fail/funny moments to talk about), there is still not much interesting things happening here. What makes this worse is that I forgot to post (......) a lot of times.
So this is essentially a patch-post (however you call it). I have a new quiz from SIMO this week, so I might post some interesting questions. Also, I decided to have this random "Hero of the Week" thingy where I'll have a write-up on an interesting hero from DotA every week with cool things to do in pub (or even in serious games).
Not much else to say =/ need to play more bridge and less computer games blah.

DotA Calculations
Hurray! I'm going to be making a series of DotA calculators using Excel <-- T.T noob programming device
But whatever, as long as they work its fine with me.
The first one I'm doing is the DPSCalc, which calculates the damage per second caused by normal attacks against a unit with 0 armour and infinite health.
When that is done I'll probably do TankCalc, which calculates the EHP to physical and SHP to spell damage.
So lets hope these calculators finish properly XD I do have the DPSCalc done (except hero and item data), screenshot here:
Also, teh Fan Yi is helping me with finding hero and item data <-- yay being useful
So this hopefully wont take all too long :P

Special Relativity
For those to have taken A Level Physics courses, special relativity should not be too foreign.
Special relativity is a theory proposed by Einstein in 1905, and predicts many consequences that have been experiementally verified, including the famous and counter intuitive length contraction and time dilation.
How this works is that when an object is moving relative to an observer, its time appears to slow down and it appears to be compressed in the direction of motion.
Therefore, we know the following: By Special Relativity, the key to longevity is running!
So here's a calculation to verify the statement:
An average human being in 2010 has a lifespam of 67.2 years.
There are 365.25 days per year, each containing 86400 SI seconds. This produces 2120670720 seconds per year.
Assuming the velocity of a person is that in a standard marathon, or 5.67m/s, the Lorentz Factor is approximately 1.000000000000000178852376935311 and so the time gained by time dilation is 3.79 x 10^(-7) s.
Not bad, this gives us less than a millionth of a second extra to live (from the perspective of a stationary observer).
Anyway, this is pretty far off from thamsy's estimate of 1 second, so better luck next time :P
Length contraction shall not be discussed, as Zheng Xun pointed out, most people do not want to slim down in the direction of motion caused by running (lol), so no point there.
Only the paranoid survive said (11:53 AM):
usually ppl want to slim in the direction perpendicular to their velocity :P
Chen, the Holy Knight said (11:54 AM):
lols
run sideways!
obviously thats the solution to the problem.

A Different Form of DPS
Hello =)
I think everyone who plays DotA is familiar with the standard form of "DPS", or damage per second, and that is physical. Common examples of physical dpsers include Drow Ranger, Soul Keeper and whatnot.
However, there is also the less common magical DPS, which many may not be familiar with. The best example of what I would call magic DPS is Tormented Soul, a hero which many would consider to be a pure nuker and tower pusher. A random theory by me is that Leshrac should actually be a carry (in theory anyways). Given sufficient mana and health, Leshrac deals heavy AoE magic damage with his ultimate and other skills. Further, Diabolic Edict offers a much-needed way to push towers quickly, a feature lacked by many other carries, such as Spectre.
Many people believe that physical DPS is far superior than magical DPS, simply because of all heroes' innate 25% magic resistance and also due to the items Black King Bar, Hood of Defiance and Khadgar's Pipe of Insight, which hinder magic damage from wreaking total havok, and the only similar item for physical DPS is a rare Ghost Scepter.
Many DotA calculations also reveal this to be the case; a Morphling can reach 1100DPS given sufficient farm, which is a pretty scary value, especially with damage amplification abilities such as Weave (ho ho). Tormented Soul, on the other hand, deals a meagre 242DPS with his spells (excluding Diabolic Edict, with Aghanim's Scepter).
However, it is noteworthy that late game, many heroes are rather stacked in armour (at least 15 for most heroes), reducing damage from physical sources by over 50%, greatly reducing the efficiency of physical DPS. Further, most physical DPSers attack only 1 target at a time (barring Cleave hits, Medusa's Split Shot and other whatnot), while magical DPS is often AoE, such as Leshrac's 242DPS. If it hits all 5 heroes, it can easily outdamage the 1.1kDPS from a stacked Morphling.
Finally, I would like to introduce an interesting way to play Morphling, The MIXED DPSer :P
Firstly, get these items: Agi Power Treads (1450), The Butterfly (6000), Ethereal Blade (4900), Dagon 5 (8005), Eye of Skadi (5950), Satanic (6150). That is a crazy item build yes.
Now morph all your strength into agility. You'll still have over 2k health, thanks to Skadi and Satanic.
Now lets look at this Morphling.
Morphling, Level 25 Morphling
Waveform: 4
Adaptive Strike: 4
Morph: 4
Replicate: 3
Items:
The Butterfly (6000 gold)
Eye of Skadi (5950 gold)
Satanic (on) (6150 gold)
Dagon 5 (8005 gold)
Power Treads (AGI) (1450 gold)
Ethereal Blade (4900 gold)
Total cost: 32455 gold
Strength: 1+83
*Agility*: 157+128
Intelligence: 53+78
Health: 2096 (2.47 regen)
Mana: 1853 (4.85 regen)
Damage: 172-181 +197
Attack cooldown: 0.40 (445%)
Armor: 23.0+22.9 (73.4% resistance)
Attack range: 350
Movement speed: 350
Average hit damage: 373.5
Damage per second: 933.8
Effective health: 7880
Hit points against spells: 2795
As we can see, this Morphling is still decently bulky with 7880 EHP against physical, 2795 SHP against spells. Further, it dishes out good physical damage, dealing 933.8DPS.
However, what is most interesting about this Morphling is its ability to 1-shot most heroes with pure magic damage. This Morphling has 285 Agility. Look at this combo: Ether Blast + Waveform + Adaptive Strike + Dagon 5.
Ether Blast deals 2.5x Agi as damage, Waveform deals 325 magic damage, a fully powered Agi Adaptive Strike deals 3.0x Agi as damage, and Dagon 5 deals 800 magic damage. Add that to the decrepify caused by Ether Blast, and you have a hefty 3769.5 magic damage. Now that is a LOT of magic damage. Incidentally it 1-shots our own Morphling (:P) who has only 2795 SHP.
To show the effectiveness of this combo, it deals 2827.125 damage to heroes without further magic resistance, easily 1-shotting the likes of other carries, such as Drow Ranger and Shadow Fiend. This also deals 1979 damage to heroes with Hood of Defiance, severely weakening if not 1-shotting them too :P (most people who get Hood are often tanks, so why are you aiming them with this combo -.-) Finally, this combo deals 1769 damage against targets with Khadgar's Pipe of Insight (barrier activated), so thats still pretty substantial. Of course, this deals 0 damage to targets with magic immunity (blah).
So whats so cool about this? A mixed-DPSer sure is hard to come by, such a bulky one at that. Truly shows how versatile Morphling is. Also, this combo makes you immune to physical damage the whole time, so allowing you an edge against opposing physical DPSers. Further, the decrepify caused by Ether Blast aids allies in their own combos, so even if you dont kill the target, a Finger of Death from an ally Lion should do it ;D Finally, even if you dont kill the target and no one's nearby to help, you still have waveform to chase and a trusty 933 physical DPS after the combo. Hurray!
Of course, this combo has drawbacks. Using Ether Blast decrepifies yourself, reducing your SHP down from 2795 to 1996, making you more prone to magic damage, while not offering any protection against disables. A way to counter this is to get Linken's Sphere, which blocks incoming single target disables. Of course you can just get BKB to remove the decrepify on yourself altogether.
So now that we have an idea, its time to test it out. Pubbing time XD

Isaac's House
Today I went to Isaac's house with some other people. Fan Yi wasn't invited though, because he is in China and therefore missed the fun. =(But dont worry, Isaac tried to invite you)
We played cards, Settlers of Catan and some computer games because it was raining really heavily and no one could go home so >.<
I arrived at 10:59 (yes punctuality ftw, supposed to get there at 11:00) and played 2-player bridge with Isaac. (in 2-player bridge, one player draws a card from the deck. if he likes it, he may keep, else he may discard into the discard pile and must take the next card. after he takes a card, the next player repeats the process, so both player should get pretty strong hands) I got a 10-point hand with 7 clubs headed by Q10, which sucks. At least I have a Spade void, so =) Whats more Isaac bidded 1C off AKJ, so I happily passed. Needless to say I won that. yay
After more people came, we played floating bridge. This is because no one there other than Benjamin and I knew how to play contract bridge properly, so blah. Nothing much interesting happened, except I got a lot of not-so-good hands, having washed like 4 times (twice in a row) -.-
When Benjamin came after lunch, we played Settlers of Catan. The first game had like 12, 3, 3, 4 on the ore patches so ore was in really short supply. With Benjamin stealing ore from MQ and making loads of development cards no one really could get any cities until we were nearly done with the map. Isaac and Benjamin were stoning at 9VP for like 60% of the game >.< and waiting for ore to make a city to WIN. ... If only they got less development cards, but oh well.
It started raining at 4. That sucked, because I can't go home. So I started playing computer games while the others continue playing Settlers. I played SC2 first. Colossus > roachydra (duh). I tried to do Zerg long distance mining in a proper match, but I realized it sucks because it just takes up too much micro to harvest both minerals and gas at once. So either you harvest only gas, or only minerals, both making it highly inefficient. Scratching this way of mining with Zerg for a long long time... until a nydus worm buff or smth o.O
After I got bored of playing SC2 I played RA3 for some time (no Yuriko rushes, ha ha) I went 2v2 with brutal AIs and nearly lost due to rustiness >.< Still won in the end despite uselessness of my ally (at least she didn't die) thanks to epic chronosphere usage. (chronosphere stuff onto your buildings to kill them, works wonders on soviet MCVs trying to expand ;P)
So in conclusion it was pretty fun, sorry for Fan Yi who missed it :P

Hand-reading for Piano
Hi. =)
For a lot of people, playing piano is reading the score, and then hitting the right notes on the keyboard, with the right articulation, dynamics, expression and whatnot to make it sound wonderful. Well thats great, and produces great music... if only you had the score.
On the other hand, what a lot of people are fond of doing on Youtube is posting up transcriptions done by ear, without bothering to write out the piano score. While their transcriptions are great, the lack of reproducibility of results (... bio spa mugging still with me ...) makes it not as great...
Therefore, I shall try something new, which I call hand-reading.
What this does is simply looking at the video of some guy playing a piece, then writing out the score based on the notes he played and such. While this isn't too difficult (hopefully =/), it might take some time to fill in the whole music sheet, but it will probably be well worth it =)
So wait till I try this further xD
Maybe I can post some results (e.g. the post below this). Hmm.

Only My Railgun on Piano, with music score
I play piano, and here's one of the songs I played (recently, but actually quite some time ago).
There are actually people asking me for the score! <-- Yay
The score can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?h2b83576763raxr
Disclaimer: This is not my transcription (except the intermission segment). The transcription is done by comgias on Youtube. I just hand-read his video and replicated his score.
I'm getting hooked onto late in autumn but I can't find any piano score for this =( so I'll probably have to write my own.

Math Problem
Those who know me will know that I do math. =)
I am also learning under an organisation known as SIMO (very secretive. oh noes what does it stand for)
Anyway, they give homework, which is to solve problems, and here's one which I got:
Let O be the intersection of the diagonals of parallelogram ABCD and P be an interior point of the parallelogram. Let M and N be the midpoints of PB and PC respectively and let Q be the intersection of AN and DM. Prove that:
a. Points O, P and Q are collinear.
b. PQ = 2OQ
Looks familiar? Yep this looks totally like the Euler Line... except its in a parallelogram. Oh noez!
Maybe its not an Euler Line after all... Hmm!
Good luck for those trying to solve the problem.
Hint: It's not hard ;P

Today
This post is called "Today" for lack of a better title.
Then again, any post can be called Today. So from now on, "Today" shall be a makeshift title when I can't think of any better titles. Hopefully I won't have to use it too much. Hmm.
Fan Yi came to my home today. We played badminton (failed lots) and comp games for quite some time.
We both skipped lunch due to laziness or other unsaid reasons.
1. DotA -wtf
Quite lame, especially when someone gets Zeus. It is rather amusing to see how the AI plays Zeus (walk 2 steps, slam his hammer downwards, repeats. after some time, hears Rampage play)
Force Staff in -wtf is fun too. When you're using a ranged hero, your hero will turn to attack the enemy, but not instantly. So when you're spamming force staff on urself and there's an enemy hero near you, you'll constantly turn to attack him and be pushed by force staff, so you'll end up speeding in a circle (actually polygon, but for this purpose circle is good enough) around him, occasionally attacking him. Add a radiance into the mix and you have a good strategy against a melee hero =)
(just kidding o.O there are way better things to do in -wtf, but this is just some random crap)
2. Red Alert 3
Fan Yi has played RA2. This is a fact.
But he has not played RA3.
So I let him play RA3 on my comp. After playing Allies (and winning after turtling against Easy AI for 40 mins) he wanted to try Yuriko rush. After I demoed how to do it, he "rushed" the AI with Yuriko 3 times, getting her killed all the times >.< So i ended the game for him with rocket angel spam.
Anyway, a funny comment I saw online about Yuriko: "Yuriko is the culmination of Japanese Culture. Yuriko = ponytailed, short skirt-wearing loli with psychic powers" <-- this is epic
3. StarCraft II
Fan Yi didn't play this, but I did while he's playing -wtf DotA on my comp.
Nothing interesting, except I went to do long distance mining with Zerg as well as sneaky Nydus Worm tactics (having a huge mass of roachydras, then getting 3 Nydus Networks to spawn Nydus Worms in the enemy base at the same time after suiciding a few overlord scouts)
Thats about it =D Look forward to the next event...

Carries in DotA
I think many people have an impression that carrying in DotA is just afkfarming for 40 minutes, then coming out with 神装 and soloing the entire enemy team.
While this may or may not work out depending on enemies, teammates and lineup, I believe that carries should have a more active role in the team than simply afkfarming.
Firstly it makes the game less boring. Face it, afkfarming is BORING.
Secondly, the time most carries take to develop is way too long. Terrorblade afkfarm will end up giving you a late game powerhouse, but that makes you totally useless during the 40 minutes while you're afkfarming, which may well make your team lose.
Thirdly, the time and effort spent on helping your team out will often pay off for your team as a whole. For example, carries running Helm of the Dominator for lifesteal can easily dominate multiple Centaur Warchiefs and use their stomp in team fights and ganks while farming neutrals or another lane.
Finally, neutral camping is inefficient. Turtling in the jungle killing neutrals may be a safe and secure way to farm up to your long-awaited 神装 which many carries really need (such as Troll, Terrorblade and Faceless Void), neutral camping offers no pressure to the opponent who may gank, farm and push at their leisure. While lane camping is dangerous, it puts pressure on towers and ganks are easily avoidable by map awareness and warding.
While this does make carrying much more difficult micro-wise, but a carry-ganking hybrid could potentially be much more powerful and beneficial to your team.
As a result, I have been promoting less farm oriented carries, especially those with ganking potential, such as Drow and FV. So far has been rather successful, but need more experiments to see the full potential of these hybrid builds =)

Hero Ideas
I play DotA.
DotA can be fun sometimes, but it sucks when you get screwed over by teammates =(
Like the saying goes, 不怕神一般的对手,只怕猪一般的队友.
Anyway, I am good at DotA (or at least decently good anyways...)
I have a friend called Fan Yi who is not so good at DotA.
Therefore he spends his time making some map which has a lot of hax heroes, which makes it completely unfair.
But thats ok, since its not meant to be a fair map anyways.
So here I have a hero idea for his map =)
Maybe if icefrog reads this it can become a real hero =)
Name: Aeolus
Class: Aether Skywalker (Str)
Base Dmg: 50 - 64
Armour: 4.0
Movespeed: 320
Attack Range: 625
Attack Animation: 0.4/0.3
Casting Animation: 0.2/0.5
Base Attack Time: 1.6
Missile Speed: 1000
Sight Range: 2100 / 800

Aether Bolt (B)
Aeolus calls a bolt a of lightning from the skies. Deals varying magic damage to 4 random targets in a 900 AoE.Can hit a target at most once.
Variables: distance btw target and Aeolus = d level of skill = x movespeed of target = s
Dmg dealt by this spell = dsx/2000
Mana cost: 140 / 160 / 180 / 200 Cooldown: 18
Aether Frost (F)
Calling on the spirits of the atmosphere, Aeolus chills the target with a beam of frost, spilling damage in a 400 AoE. Slows movespeed by 80%, target regains ms over 8s
Variables: target's hp percentage = f level of skill = x
Dmg dealt by this spell = 3fx/2
Mana cost: 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 Cooldown: 15
Aether Light (G)
By a strange property of the air, Aeolus is able to distort the passage of light around him, rendering allies within a 400 AoE invisible for 5/10/15/20s. Does not affect Aeolus himself. Additionally, this allows Aeolus to teleport allies under the effect of this spell anywhere within 600/750/900/1050 range from him. The teleport works on himself.
Mana Cost: 180 Cooldown: 40
Aether Zephyr (R)
Being the King of Winds, Aeolus commands the winds to do his bidding. When cast, causes all enemy heroes in a 600 AoE around him to move away from him and all enemy heroes within 1200 AoE around him to move towards him. Enemies can still use skills, use items and attack. Lasts 6/ 9 / 12 seconds.
Mana cost: 300 / 450 / 600 Cooldown: 60
I'll leave ideas as to how to play this powerhouse open =X
I also have another idea which I will post some other time =)
DotA can be fun sometimes, but it sucks when you get screwed over by teammates =(
Like the saying goes, 不怕神一般的对手,只怕猪一般的队友.

Aether Bolt (B)
Aeolus calls a bolt a of lightning from the skies. Deals varying magic damage to 4 random targets in a 900 AoE.Can hit a target at most once.
Variables: distance btw target and Aeolus = d level of skill = x movespeed of target = s

Bridge Randomness
Contract bridge is fun.
Random things happen all the time, but that just makes it more fun.
For example:
You are sitting West, dealer South.
You are dealt the following cards: S:AK H:AJ98 D:AK4 C:KQJ9
South opens 1NT. (You give off a surprised expression). What do you call?
Or:
You are sitting South and you are the dealer.
You are dealt the following cards: S:KQ108 H:- D:AJ96 C: J9532
Being conservative in bidding, you pass. West passes after you. North, your partner, opens 4H.
East, your right-hand opponent, doubles.
What do you call?
Note 1: both of the above hands are real, and played by me.
Note 2: i am not a bridge expert, merely an amateur.
As it seems, there is no 100% safe call (not that I can think of anyway), so use your best judgement!
