Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is a law in quantum mechanics that states (by precise inequalities), that certain pairs of physical proteries, such as position and momentum, cannot be simultaneously known to arbitrarily high precision. In layman's terms, the more you know about something's momentum, the less you know about its position, and vice-versa.
